Body
The Segovia Streetscape Improvements project involves the installation of landscaped median and concrete sidewalk extensions for ADA compliance at Segovia Street between Biltmore Way and Bird Road. The Segovia Streetscape Improvements Project is part of a joint participation agreement between the City of Coral Gables and the Miami-Dade County Small Business Development Office, which requires that the contractor selected for this project meets the Community Small Business Enterprise (CSBE) Sixteen Percent (16%) Subcontractor Goal.

On September 27, 2010, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the Segovia Streetscape Improvements Project Invitation to Bid (IFB) 2010.09.27. On October 5, 2010, a non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held with four (4) prospective bidders attending out of a total of twenty-six (26) prospective bidders who downloaded the bid document or picked up the document from the Procurement Division of Finance.

On October 27, 2010, eight (8) bid responses were submitted as follows: Marks Brothers, Inc., Florida Engineering and Development Corp., McBayne’s Construction & Renovation, Inc., Metro Express Inc., Homestead Concrete & Drainage, Inc., Williams Paving Co., Inc., Miguel Lopez Jr., Inc., and Maggolc, Inc.
