Resolution authorizing the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana to sell alcoholic beverages on Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7, 2010 on Miracle Mile from Douglas Road to LeJeune Road as part of the Carnaval on the Mile, subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulation requirements.

Brief History
For twelve years, the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana has utilized Miracle Mile as part of Carnaval en Miami. It is proposed that Miracle Mile be closed from Friday night, March 5, 2010, at 11:00 p.m. through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 8, 2010, for set up, the event, and breakdown. Additional police officers and on-duty custodial staff will be retained, as in the past, by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana to control the crowd and littler problem. Past results of crowd and litter control have been very successful.
This event has been reviewed by the City's Special Event Committee.
