The Coral Gables Police Department SWAT Team has identified that the team's sniper rifles are lacking the eA Resolution authorizing expenditures in the amount of $23,598.00 from the Coral Gables Police State Forfeited Asset Fund (FAF) monies to provide for the purchase of two Universal Night Sight Scope Systems and three accompanying rail mounting systems for SWAT sniper rifles.quipment necessary to enable night time operation capabilities commensurate with standard operation plans for local SWAT Teams as adopted by the Regional Domestic Security Task Force (RDSTF). The acquisition of this additional equipment for the SWAT Team's sniper rifles would enable the SWAT Team to have the necessary level of night time sniper capability.
The Forfeited Asset Fund Committee met on January 7th, 2009, and approved this proposed expenditure.
