That Officer Lucas Rosson is recognized as the Officer of the Month for June 2024.

BACKGROUND

On June 5, 2024, at approximately 3:22 AM, CGPD units were dispatched to 609 Cadagua Av in reference to a disturbance. Per the complainant, there were people laughing and making noise inside of a construction site. Officer Rosson (A 105) was the first unit arriving to the scene even though he was not dispatched to the call. A106 and A107 were dispatched to the call. Upon arriving, Officer Rosson observed a black male subject inside of the site and quickly and efficiently requested a perimeter to be setup. Officer Rosson advised over CGPD Main he could hear the male inside of the construction site. The site was fenced in and locked with green tarp material on the chain link fence to conceal the home under construction. Officer Rosson then advised the subject was jumping the fence. The subject was detained while the perimeter was held, and the construction site was cleared. A blue suitcase containing the subject’s clothing was found inside of the site on the first floor.

The offender was involved in two calls on the same day, 6/5/24 on Bravo shift. A shoplifting incident at 375 S Dixie Hwy and an indecent exposure in the area of Lejeune Rd and Ponce de Leon Blvd.

CID was contacted and Detectives James and Diaz responded and interviewed the subject. The

offender was charged with trespassing.
