Title
A Resolution rescinding Resolution No. 2005-119 and reinstating the City-Wide Anti-Crime Committee and setting forth guidelines by which such Committee shall be governed.
Body
[At the request of the City Commission and in response to citizens' concerns it is recommended that the City-Wide Anti-Crime Committee be reinstated. The Committee was initially created on May 14, 1996 by Resolution No. 29070 and dissolved on 6/60/05 by Resolution No. 2005-119.

The City-Wide Anti-Crime Committee is intended to serve This committee as a direct representation of the matters affecting those who live and work in the City. By sharing their advice and suggestions, the Committee can help guide the Police Department in the development of long term strategic policing initiatives.

With direct access to the Chief of Police and Police Department staff, the Committee will have the unique opportunity to provide input on initiatives that the Police Department is contemplating on an ongoing basis. Committee members will in turn share the responsibility of communicating approved initiatives directly to the areas of the City that they represent. .]
