Resolution authorizing the extension of a contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. pursuant to Section 2-834 (D) of the Procurement Code on a month-to-month on an as-needed basis until such time as a new contract is executed for the provision of Gymnastic Professional Services.
Body
On February 9, 2004 the City Commission approved a contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. for the provision of gymnastic professional services. The contract provided for an initial two (2) year term with an option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms with the last term expiring June 1, 2009. The contract was extended for one hundred twenty (120) days to September 28, 2009.
The Procurement Division of Finance formally solicited proposals for gymnastic professional services on June 26, 2009 under RFP 2009.06.23 with proposals required to be submitted by July 30, 2009.
Under Section 2-834 (d) of the Procurement Code this Gymnastics Professional Services contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. should be extended on a month to month on an as needed basis from the expiration of current contract extension (September 28, 2009) until such time as a new contract is executed, or rebid, if necessary.
