A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Citywide Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program - Point Repairs and Manhole Rehabilitation to Metro Express, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, on an as-needed project basis, for an initial period of two (2) years with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, in an amount not to exceed the budgeted available funds at time of need; pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2018-002 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful contractor to provide all supervision, labor, materials and necessary equipment, applicable fees and permits for routine and emergency repairs for sanitary sewer pipe break; cured-in place lining for sanitary sewer pipes; and rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes throughout the City of Coral Gables for the Department of Public Works on an as-needed project basis. Funding will not exceed the budgeted available funds of the user department, at time of need.
On January 12, 2018, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB for the Citywide Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Program - Point Repairs and Manhole Rehabilitation. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held on January 19, 2018, with four (4) prospective bidders in attendance of the forty-seven (47) prospective bidders who downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web based e-Procurement service.
On February 16, 2018, four (4) bids were received in response to the IFB 2018-002 from: EnviroWaste Services Group, Inc.; Hinterland Group, Inc.; Metro Express, Inc.; and V Engineering & Consulting Corp.
