Title
Resolution requesting the Florida Division of Emergency Management allow the City to reimburse funds for 2005 hurricanes over a period of time.
Body
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) obligated and approved funding for 2005 Hurricanes. During the close-out and reconciliation of the large projects, changes were made to the eligible amounts reimbursed to the City. The changes were primarily the result of ineligible costs for debris removal from federal highways that were submitted to FEMA along with debris removal from the City streets which were also submitted to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and paid to the City thereby the City receiving reimbursements from FEMA and FHWA.

The Florida Division of Emergency Management has invoiced the City for reimbursement of the funds. The City has requested the reimbursement be paid over time without interest, however the Division requires the request come from the City Commission.
