A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing the execution of an agreement for sewer connection for properties located outside the city’s sewer district at 4461 SW 16 Street and 4465 SW 16 Street, Miami, Florida to the City of Coral Gables wastewater collection/transmission system, subject to the requirements of the Public Works Department, as provided under chapters 62 and 78 of the City Code, Ordinance No. 2007-29 and 2009-39 and Resolution No. 2008-07; and provided that the executed agreement be made part of this resolution.

Property Owner, William Marvin Decker is requesting authorization for an outside sewer connection to the City Sanitary sewer district to serve proposed two single-family residences; the project is located at 4461 SW 16th ST and 4465 SW 16th ST, Miami, Florida; and it shall be subject to the requirements of the Public Work Department, as set forth in Chapter 62 and 78 of the City Code, Ordinance No. 2007-29, and No. 2009-39 and Resolution No. 2008-07.

The properties are located outside City’s sewer service area and new private lateral pipes will be installed to serve the project. The project will be connected into existing gravity main owned by the City of the Coral Gables. The proposed daily peak flow has been estimated to be 2,230 Gallons per day (GPD). As per Miami-Dade’s Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources, all downstream pump stations including the treatment plant currently have capacity. In addition, flows from this project will connect through the existing City’s 8-in gravity main located along Mendoza Avenue (SW 16th Street).

The request consists of two sewer lateral lines connecting into City’s gravity main system.

The property Owner agrees to comply with the terms outlined in Ordinance Nos. 2007-29 and 2009-39 (City Code Section 78-106), and Resolution No. 2008-07 and enter into an agreement, according to Owner’s Letter of Agreement, to be approved by the City Attorney.
