I recommend Odalys Ferreiro, Senior Administrative Assistant, for Employee of the Month in recognition of her recognition of her dedication, initiative, and commitment to our department. Most recently, she took the lead in coordinating and organizing the relocation and setup of our department's offices. This was significant undertaking involving numerous logistical details, coordinating among staff and other parties, organization of the new workspace, and the need to keep the department functioning, throughout the transition. She assumed responsibility for overseeing these efforts while I was out of the office for two weeks, and made sure that issues were addressed and decisions were carried through without requiring constant direction or oversight. Upon my return, I was impressed with how smoothly the transition had gone and how comfortable and settled everyone already seemed. This effort reflects the reliability, ownership, and strong work ethic she consistently demonstrates in her role . She went above and beyond what was expected of her and made a meaningful difference not only in successful completion of the move, but also in making the transition easier for the entire department. Her performance exemplifies the City's values and I strongly recommend her for Employee of the Month.
