Title
Presentation of 30 years service pin to James E. Miller, Public Service Department.
Body
James Miller joined the City on June 2, 1980 as a part-time Laborer and later became a Laborer I. He was subsequently promoted to Maintenance Worker I, then Maintenance Worker II and later accepted another promotion to Equipment Operator I in June 1988. The positive progressive time line continued when he accepted the responsibilities of Equipment Operator II. In March 1991, he was promoted to his current position of Foreman.
In November 1997, James was honored as an outstanding employee as he was selected Employee of the Month. The nomination portrays James as an employee who Coral Gables residents describe as very courteous and displays a very positive attitude. That attitude sets an example for all City employees. Additionally, he goes out of his way to train other employees on various types of equipment and without him it would be difficult for them to receive the training they need and desire. James is an individual who is conscientious and fosters an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork among his co-workers. The City and the Community greatly appreciates his dedicated 30 years of service.
