Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Salvadore Park Project to T & G Constructors, pursuant to Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code and Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2009.09.24 in the amount of $170,456.00 (one hundred seventy thousand, four hundred fifty-six dollars); further authorizing an appropriation of funds for this project.

This project is located at Salvadore Park Project located at 1120 Andalusia Avenue. This project consists of a base bid and several additive alternates. The base bid includes a wood trellis, concrete walks, two (2) sets of playground equipment, playground grass system and certain other miscellaneous items. The additive alternates consist of the restoration of racquetball courts, painting of perimeter fence, entrance gates and fence repairs, painting of seating wall, renovation of a bathroom building and alteration of the Tennis Center bathroom.
On August 27, 2009, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the Salvadore Park Renovation Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2009.09.24. On September 3, 2009, a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site visit was held with 3 (three) prospective bidders in attendance of thirty-seventy (37) contractors and subcontractors who downloaded the bid document from the web-site or picked up the bid documents from the Procurement Division of Finance. On September 24, 2009, seven (7) bid responses were received and of those that responded, five (5) responsive bids were submitted by: T & G Constructors, Leadex Corporation, Wilham and Associates Inc., Tram Construction Inc, and E.C. & Associates, Inc. One (1) bid submitted was determined to non-responsive from RoGar Management & Consulting and there was one (1) no bid response from Gavarrete, Inc.
