William D. Wright, Jr., Treasurer, FAAI, on behalf of the Florida Alpha Association, Inc. for permission for an outside sewer connection to the City's pressure system to serve the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity House, located at 1520 Liguria Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida.
CITYMANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION:
That the request for an outside sewer connection to the City's pressure system to serve the Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE) Fraternity House, located at 1520 Liguria Avenue, Coral Gables, Florida, be approved, subject to the conditions of the Public Works Department.
BRIEF HISTORY:
The recommendation is subject to the following conditions of the Public Works Department:
1. That the Owner executes an Agreement approved by the City Attorney, agreeing to comply with the terms outlined in Resolution Nos. 24481 and 27941.
2. That the Owner pays a connection fee concurrently upon signing the Agreement, based on the estimated gallonage. The fee has been calculated at $16,007.00.
3. The property owner shall provide the City with final plans and specifications, as prepared by a registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice in the State of Florida and fully experienced and qualified in the design of sanitary sewer systems, for approval by the City.
4. That an Agreement be executed between the University of Miami and the City before service is provided (the Applicant is responsible to attain and achieve the agreement with all the participants involved).
5. The property owner shall provide Liability Insurance in the amounts required by Resolution No. 25786 naming the City as an additional insured, and covering any damages to public or private property due to a failure in the customer's facilities. A Certificate of Insurance shall be required at the execution of the Agreement in a form acceptable to the City of Coral Gables.
