Title

A Resolution ratifying an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 Annual Budget, to recognize as revenue a $145,401 transfer from Storm Water fund balance, and to appropriate such funds to put toward the cost of the Storm Water/Sanitary Sewer Cross Connection Removal project.

The Public Works Utility Division has made tremendous headway toward the County mandated goal of removing illegal or improper cross connections in the City’s Storm Water and Sanitary Sewer Systems.  When the cross connection project was originally set up it was funded at $107,500 per year for Storm Water and $165,000 per year for Sanitary Sewer.  However during the implementation of the project a more equal cost balance between the two funding sources was warranted, thereby creating a shortage on the Storm Water side.  The funds requested in this resolution with allow equal charging of the funds for the next purchase order.

 

An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2016-2017 annual budget is required to recognize as revenue a $145,401 transfer from the Storm Water Fund, and to appropriate such funds to put toward the cost of the cross connection removal project.
