A Resolution of the City of Coral Gables authorizing the City Manager to purchase a Water Witch Mark 2 Low Profile Surface Dredger from Liverpool Water Witch Marine & Engineering Co. Ltd., from Liverpool, UK the Sole Source Vendor, in the amount of £ 129,600.00 with a current converting value of $ 178,273.26 pursuant to Procurement Code, Section 2-770 Sole Source Procurement. This equipment is a replacement for a unit that is 28 years old. (Project funded by the Stormwater Utility Fund)
History
The Public Works Department has a need for a replacement Water Witch Mark 2 Low Profile Surface Dredger to remove and cleanup of seaweed and other debris from City canals. The Procurement Division researched this equipment and determined that this piece of equipment can be purchased as a Sole Source from this manufacturer because of the unique requirements of the City. (See attached Sole Source determination).
The City negotiated with Liverpool Water Witch and Marine Engineering Co. Ltd., of Liverpool, UK the purchase of a Water Witch Mark 2 Low Profile Surface Dredger for a total price of £ 129,600.00, with a current converting value of $ 178,273.26.
The City’s Automotive Director and Public Works Director attest that this Water Witch Mark 2 Low Profile Surface Dredger meets the unique requirements of the department.
