As a long term residents of Coral Gables and environmentally conscientious citizens, we enthusiastically nominate Nicole Gautney for Part-Time Quarterly Employee in recognition of her exceptional enthusiasm and leadership as the Part-Time Sustainability Coordinator in the City of Coral Gables.
Nicole consistently goes above and beyond in her role as Sustainability Coordinator and Co-Executive Director of Keep Coral Gables Beautiful. She willingly works weekends and demonstrates the best of Coral Gables commitment in protecting our environment.
Our most intimate association with Nicole has been through the Coral Gables Coco Plum Women's Club. The Club represents almost ninety women who support the soft plastics collections project that NIcole directs. Nicole is always available for consultation and is always a positive influence. The City of Coral Gables could not ask for a better ambassador. As chair of the Environmental Committee in the Coco Plum Woman's Club, Elizabeth (Libby) has worked with Nicole on weekends and as residents, we have participated in the weekend recycling drive-throughs for the past couple of years. These are herculean undertakings and Nicole's enthusiasm, and competence is worthy of accolades! It is obvious that she has engaged many Coral Gables residents through her recycling campaigns in the City and her commitment is genuine and appreciated. Given this performance, we whole heartedly nominate Nicole Gautney as Part-Time Employee of the Month. Nicole Gautney is a valuable asset to the City of Coral Gables and I hope her outstanding performance recognized accordingly.
