A Resolution authorizing the extension of a contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. pursuant to Section 2-764 (b) of the Procurement Code on a month-to-month on an as-needed basis until such time as a new contract is executed for the provision of Gymnastic Professional Services.
Body
On May 25, 2010 the City Commission approved a contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. for the provision of gymnastic professional services. The contract provided for an initial two (2) year term with an option to renew for four (4) additional two (2) year terms with the last term expiring July 31, 2020. The Option to Renew was approved by the Community Recreation Director for the extension period of August 1, 2018 to July 31, 2020 based on satisfactory performance by the vendor.
Under Section 2-764 (b) of the Procurement Code this Gymnastics Professional Services contract with Gym Kidz, Inc. should be extended on a month to month on an as needed basis from the expiration of current contract extension (July 31, 2020) until such time as a new contract is executed, or rebid, if necessary.
The War Memorial Youth Center seeks the completion of all Fall scheduled programming set in place with contractor Gym Kidz Inc. to coincide with the start of the Spring session of the calendar year 2021 with the newly awarded contract.
