Resolution authorizing seven (7) sewer connections outside the City Sanitary Sewer Districts, to serve the University of Miami at various locations on the University of Miami main campus, Coral Gables, Florida, subject to the requirements of the Public Works Department, as provided in Resolution Nos. 24481 and 27941, and provided that the executed agreement be made part of this Resolution.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION:
That a Resolution authorizing seven (7) sewer connections outside the City Sanitary Sewer District to serve the University of Miami at various locations on the University of Miami main campus, Coral Gables, Florida, subject to the requirements of the Public Works Department, as provided in Resolution Nos. 24481 and 27941, and provided that the executed agreement be made a part of this Resolution, be approved.
BRIEF HISTORY:
The University of Miami is requesting authorization for seven (7) outside sewer connections outside the City's sanitary sewer districts to serve the University of Miami consisting of seven (7) existing buildings at the following locations on the University of Miami main campus, Coral Gables, Florida:
1. Rehearsal Center, 5501 San Amaro Drive.
2. Arnold Volpe Music Building, 5501 San Amaro Drive.
3. Foster Memorial Music Building, 5501 San Amaro Drive.
4. Writing Center, 5221-25 Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
5. Casa Bacardi, 1531 Brescia Avenue.
6. School of Education, 1551 Brescia Avenue
7. McNight Advancement Center, 5807 Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
which are currently connected to septic tanks. The Owner agrees to comply with the terms outlined in Resolution Nos. 24481 and 27941.
Concurrently, upon signing the agreement, the Owner agrees to pay a connection fee based on the estimate daily peak flow. The fee has been estimated to be $49,875.00.
