Nelson joined the City as a Fire Recruit in January 1989 and became a Firefighter in February 1989. He received his State Paramedic Certification in January 1991 and was later assigned to Rescue in March 1992. Through the years Nelson has involved himself with numerous special assignments and advanced training.
Firefighter Rodriguez constantly produces exceptional work both timely and accurate. He can be relied upon for any task. He is especially helpful to new Firefighters. He is active not only with the Explorers but also with the Bike Medic Program. Firefighter Rodriguez’s communication skills, work habits and time management are outstanding. He hones his supervisory skills by practicing sound decision making, especially with the mentorship program.
