A promising and rewarding career began for Gregg when he decided to join the City as a Firefighter/EMT in August 1983. After a few years of experience, hard work and completed training, Gregg was assigned the responsibility of Driver/Engineer in October 1989, which he maintains to date.
Gregg strives for excellence in his performance. He is in constant motion both in the station and on calls, and it is difficult to imagine anyone surpassing his work output. Gregg is an extremely qualified driver and firefighter and is well versed in all aspect of pumping operations and an expert with hand tools carried on the engines. Gregg is always ready and willing to lend a hand, and routinely offers to travel for junior drivers. His initiative is unparalleled as his supervisor never has to ask him to help with a task he accomplishes most on his own. In addition, Gregg is focused and accurate in maintaining departmental records and professional and helpful with the public. He shows excellent decision making abilities and his supervisors can rely on his years of experience when handling emergency calls. Gregg is a fine example of an employee who strives to excel and the City appreciates his performance, dedication and loyalty.
