Retirement Board Meeting of June 23, 2008

1. Roll call.
2. The minutes of May 8, 2008 Retirement Board meeting were approved.
3. The Administrative Manager's Report was reviewed and accepted.
4. The Board approved the following applications for Retirement and Vested Retirement benefits:
Retirement Benefits:
Retirement application of Manuel Collazo of the Public Works Department, 19 years, 2 months, No Option, effective June 1, 2008.
Vested Retirement Benefits:
Alan Davis, Police Department (21 years, 10 months), effective at age 50, effective date September 1, 2014.
5. The Board approved the Administrative Manager's recommendation to send Service Connected Disability applicant, Jose Torres, to a Board appointed doctor as mandated in Retirement Ordinance Section 50-231.
6. The Board approved the Administrative Manager's recommendation to send Service Connected Disability applicant, Eugenio Arencibia, to a Board appointed doctor as mandated in Retirement Ordinance Section 50-231.
7. The Board approved the Administrative Manager's recommendation to approve the Service Connected Disability application of Steve Sandifer based upon the doctors' reports submitted by the applicant and Board appointed doctor.
8. Investment Issues were discussed.
9. The Board Attorney Alan Greenfield updated the Board on current pending items.
10. Old business was discussed.
11. New business was discussed.
