The current contract RFP 2015.07.20 was executed on November 18, 2015 with Inphynet South Broward, LLC for Medical Director services that has been carried out through Frederick Keroff, MD.
The purpose of the contract is to provide supervision and accepting responsibility for the medical performance of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT)’s and Paramedics functioning in the Fire Department and Emergency Medical Service Department under applicable provisions of the Florida Statutes, including training, oversight and quality assurance review services.
These services will allow the City to appropriately respond to the current COVID-19 pandemic and to remain consistent with the medical guidance and advice being received in order to address our City’s needs.
This extension will allow time for an RFP process to be completed, and a new contract to be executed. It is recommended that the Medical Director Services contract be extended for one (1) year with the same terms and conditions.
