Resolution accepting the Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) Grant Program Memorandum of Agreement between the City of Miami and the City of Coral Gables; and authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Annual Budget to recognize the grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.    
 
Body
This agreement authorizes the distribution of $115,791.84 as part of the 2011 UASI spending plan for the City of Coral Gables.  The grant will provide funding to execute Homeland Security initiatives.  The projects identified by the Fire and Police Departments to be funded include portable radios ($40,000); mobile mounted radios ($45,000); an emergency response annex and EOC tabletop exercise ($21,791.84); and disposable respirator canisters ($9,000).
 
An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $115,791.84 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.
