Body
Tom began with the City in January 1989. He earned Emergency Medical Technician status in September 1991 and State Paramedic Certification in January 1992. Tom was appointed Fire Staff Lieutenant in September 1993 and Fire Lieutenant in April 1995.  
 
Lt. Zelenak leads by example, mentors young Firefighters, and has earned the respect and loyalty of subordinates.  He displays a strong sense of purpose with a high level of commitment and is motivated to achieve optimal results.  
 
Tom has been active with Local 1210 and currently chairs the Firefighters Pension Trust Fund.
 
Lt. Zelenak's dedicated service for the last 20 years is much appreciated by the City and the community.
