Title
Update on the Kerdyk Tennis Center Pro Shop Building Renovations project.
Body
The Kerdyk Tennis Center Pro Shop Building’s preliminary design was approved by the Board of Architects on September 29, 2016. Shortly thereafter Public Works, in conjunction with Parks & Recreation Department, held a community meeting for review and attain input on the redesign of the facility.
The scope of work involves improvements to the facilities functions including the removal of the existing stairs located in the center of the building. This will create new indoor space and will allow for the relocation of the pro-shop and office area to the ground floor, enlarging the restroom facilities to include lockers and showers, and new storage rooms. The second floor will have an enclosed multipurpose pavilion and viewing terraces to the north and south of the building. Two new stairs will provide access to the second floor.
Representatives from Stantec, City’s Consultant, and City staff will be available to present an update of progress and next steps needed to move this project into the construction phase.
