Joseph began his career as a Firefighter with the City in August 1981. He was promoted to Firefighter-EMT in September 1982 and completed his Accelerated Paramedic Class in November 1985. After completed training he accepted the assignment and responsibilities of Driver Engineer in March 1995.
Through the years, Joseph has continued to exhibit what an excellent employee should be. He is highly motivated, conscientious, cooperative and knowledgeable. He anticipates a need and resolves the situation quickly with the right decision and action. In addition, one of his strongest traits is teamwork. Any time help is needed for a job, no matter what, he always helps. He is a team player and is appreciated for his willingness to assist in maintaining a top notch department. He is an exemplary role model who is always professional and courteous, uses his time and equipment to the fullest and displays courage under pressure while maintaining a calm demeanor.
Fortunately, Joseph is always willing to learn new situations and to train. He extends his time to new or acting drivers and can be depended on to take charge of any task and handle the situation with style and grace in a most effective manner. Understandably, his talent of always maintaining a friendly relationship with his co-workers and continually taking the initiative in the station creates a positive motivation and atmosphere for productivity all around.
The City feels fortunate in its relationship with Joseph and appreciates his loyal, talented and dedicated service for the last 25 years by helping to make the City more beautiful and effective for all concerned.
