Firefighter Richard Fernandez was selected as February's Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically his dedication to the fire service through training and educating fellow firefighters throughout the nation as well as worldwide. Being a founding member of our internationally recognized SRT team, Firefighter Fernandez's expertise in extrication is frequently sought after, consequently he has served as judge in numerous extrication competitions. Firefighter Fernandez makes us proud and is an excellent representative of the Coral Gables Fire Department.
