Title

A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to approve a contract with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., in the amount of $2,748,165 for Public Safety Building Design Consulting Services  pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act” and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2016.05.MG.

Body

On December 6, 2016, the City Commission authorized negotiations with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., selected as a result of an RFQ process, as the design consulting firm for a new Public Safety Building.

The purpose of this contract is to hire a qualified design consultant to prepare and provide all plans and construction administration services, to include programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration for a new Public Safety Building.  It is anticipated that any changes to the scope of services may have a corresponding change in fees to the City.

The Public Works Department, the Public Safety Director, and the Procurement Division have completed their negotiations with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., resulting in the attached contract, subject to final approval and execution by City staff.  The proposed contract is being presented to the City Commission for approval in substantially the form attached and the City Manager and City Attorney may approve changes to the form.
