Resolution supporting and endorsing the South Florida Park Coalition Charter and the principles on which it stands.
Brief History
The South Florida Park Coalition brings together city, county, state and federal park agencies to establish greater partnership and collaboration among agencies to build a more livable and sustainable community. The Charter establishes the goals and principles that guide the Coalition. These principles are the foundation of the Park and Open Space Master Plan and include: beauty, access, equity, sustainability, seamlessness and multiple benefits.
Currently, the following cities have endorsed the Charter; Miami Gardens, Doral, North Miami, South Miami, Golden Beach and Sunny Isles Beach.
