Brief History
A fee increase in the professional services contract with Hazen and Sawyer, Environmental Engineering Consultants, through the end of the contract period, April 25, 2011, is needed in order to maintain schedules for capital projects and ensure regulatory compliance in accordance with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Consent Order. This action increases the total amount of the two (2) year contract renewal with Hazen and Sawyer to $850,000.00. Hazen and Sawyer provides the design and construction inspection of the City's new and rehabilitated sanitary sewer pump stations, force mains, computer modeling of the sanitary sewer system, and generates reports, as required by regulatory agencies.
Funding for said Professional Services is appropriated in the FY 2010-2011 Budget, Sanitary Sewer Fund, Account Code No. 410-1540-535-64-30.
