The Coral Gables Police Department is requesting the continuation of services of an existing contract, BW 2025-056 with SaferWatch, LLC.
The Coral Gables Police Department’s Communication Center currently uses the SaferWatch Platform for Citizen Upload, which is a seamless and secure platform that allows citizens to upload media and stream live videos to PSAP and Law Enforcement Agencies. The annual cost for these licenses is an estimated $47,500.00 per year for a three (3) year term for an estimated total amount of $142,500.00.
Section 2-585 of the Procurement Code, entitled “Authority” authorizes the City Manager to delegate authority to the Procurement Officer to administer and make recommendations on awards.
Recommended Action
That the City Commission accepts this recommendation and authorizes the City Manager to waive the competitive bid process for the continuation of services with SaferWatch, LLC. for a three (3) year term in an estimated total amount of $142,500.00, pursuant to Section 2-691 of the City’s Procurement Code.
