Body
It is recommended that the City Commission amend Resolution No. 2007-46 change the suspension of the False Alarms Fines Program charges for senior citizens to sixty-five (65) years of age or over.
On March 13, 2007 Resolution No.  2007-46 was passed and adopted, reinstituting the suspension of the False Alarm Fines Program charges to senior citizens seventy (70) years of age or over effective April 1, 2007, and rescinding Resolution No. 30112. On April 7, 2008, the Senior Citizens Advisory Board approved age 65 as the appropriate age for senior citizens to not be charged for false alarm fines.
