Title
A Resolution granting permission to the City Manager to donate an Air Service Truck and an LTI 100FT Aerial Platform Fire Truck to the International Affairs Foundation, which will then donate it to the Denton Program, a federal program designed to transport humanitarian goods to countries in need.
Body
The Denton Program is jointly administered by USAID, the Department of State, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency and the Department of Defense. The Denton Program allows private U.S. citizens and organizations, that are not affiliated with the U.S. Government, to use space available on U.S. cargo planes to transport humanitarian goods to countries in need. The goods eligible for transport include agricultural equipment, clothing, educational supplies, food, medical supplies and vehicles.

The City intends to donate a 100FT Aerial Platform Fire Truck (purchased in 1987) and an Air Service Truck (purchased in 1992). The trucks are still operational but have been decommissioned, replaced and are no longer used by the Coral Gables Fire Department, however, both trucks may of service to other countries.
