Driver Engineer Marrero has been selected April’s Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for his hard work and dedication to the department.
There is an incredible talent pool within the ranks of our Fire Department. He goes above and beyond what is expected of him. He consistently demonstrates excellent technical skills and a strong work ethic, always making safety a top priority. Eric is an asset to any team he is on, and his dedication to his job is an inspiration to his fellow firefighters.
In addition to his outstanding work as a Driver Engineer, Eric also serves as a role model for upcoming driver engineers. He is always willing to mentor new recruits, as well as share his knowledge and experience with others. Eric takes pride in his work; and shows commitment to excellence and it is evident in everything he does.
Recently Eric got involved with the “Fit to Thrive” program, which aims to improve the health and wellness of firefighters. He is passionate about helping his fellow firefighters maintain good physical and mental health. He is always looking for ways to encourage healthy eating habits within the department. Eric’s leadership in this program has resulted in a healthier and better motivated team of firefighters, which has had a positive impact on the entire community.
Driver Engineer Marrero is an exceptional firefighter who consistently goes above and beyond his duties. He is a role model for his colleagues and a valuable asset to Coral Gables Fire Rescue.
Due to his outstanding work ethic and dedication to the Fire Department, Driver Engineer Marrero is nominated for Firefighter of the month for April 2023.
