Jay Williams, Director of Construction, Bonefish Grill, on behalf of 2121 Ponce de Leon Group, Owner, for permission to encroach onto the right-of-way with a permanent structural canopy at the main entrance to Bonefish Grill, encroaching approximately 4'-4" for a length of approximately nineteen feet, eight inches (19'-8"), at an elevation of approximately 10'-0" above the sidewalk, adjacent to 2121 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables, Florida.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION:
That the request for encroachment into the right-of-way with a permanent structural canopy at the main entrance to Bonefish Grill, be approved subject to the requirements set forth by the Public Works Department, as listed below.
BRIEF HISTORY:
The Applicant, on behalf of the Owner, requests approval for encroachments onto the right-of-way consisting a permanent structural canopy projecting up to 4'-4" for a length of approximately nineteen feet , eight inches (19'-8") at an elevation of approximately 10'-0" above the sidewalk adjacent to 2121 Ponce de Leon Boulevard, Coral Gables, Florida, legally described as Lots 24 to 39 inclusive, and W140.67FT of 20FT alley lying between Lots 6 and 7 and 35 and 39, Block 21 of the REVISED PLAT CORAL GABLES SECTION L, according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 8 at Page 85 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida.
The proposed canopy is in the approval process at Building Department (Application No. 06086624).
The recommendation is subject to the following requirements of the Public Works Department:
a) The City of Coral Gables reserves the right to remove, add, maintain, or have the Owner remove any of the improvements within the right-of-way, and at Owner's expense.
b) That the Owner maintains the proposed encroachments in good condition at all times, and at Owner's expense.
