Presentation of 20 year service pin to Tim Mungovan, Fire Department

Tim's career with the City Fire Department began in May 1988 as a Fire Recruit and made the grade to Firefighter in May 1989. A short time later, Tim earned his State Fire Inspector's certification and Emergency Medical Technician status in July 1991. His determination and desire for excellence and expanded horizons, led him to his Driver/Engineer Assignment in August 1995. Another challenge was accomplished when he completed his Associate's Degree in May 1997. In addition, Tim's Paramedic Maintenance pay was awarded in July 1988 and Air Technician in September 1988.
Driver/Engineer Mungovan is very conscientious, always does more than assigned and produces a high quality of work. He maintains an above average job knowledge and cross trains in his Department in the areas of Air Tech, Paramedic, Bike Medic and Fire Safety Inspector. He consistently gets along with all, making him a good team member and always available to others. He displays initiative and resourcefulness and uses his abilities to help anyone. Driver/Engineer Mungovan handles records in a neat and accurate manner especially when performing truck checks to make sure nothing is missing, making preparedness a high priority for unforeseen emergencies. He makes the extra effort to assist the public and is an exemplary role model. He is also known to be a very good communicator while maintaining clear analytical judgment in problem solving of all kinds.
Understandably, Tim is a valuable asset to the City and his department. His many roles throughout the years are greatly appreciated, and all concerned recognize his dedication, loyalty and passion to be the "crème de la crème." The City looks forward to a continued relationship for many years to come. Congratulations on your 20 years of service.
