[Through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) the Coral Gables Police Department is an active member of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) Regional Fugitive Task Force.  The proposed Fiscal Year 2009 MOU obligates Federal funding for the purchase of vehicles for state and local law enforcement agencies who participate in joint law enforcement task forces with the Marshals Service.   The Marshals Service Office of Finance will issue payment directly to the dealership. The vehicle will be titled to the City of Coral Gables.  The vehicle purchased through USMS funds must remain available for exclusive use by the assigned task force detective for the duration of the MOU.  Upon termination of the MOU, the usage and disposition of the vehicle are at the discretion of the City of Coral Gables.  A Federal fuel credit card will be issued to the Task Force Detective for the duration of the MOU.
