A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Country Club Prado Landscape Improvements contract to VisualScape, Inc., pursuant to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2015.06.11, and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled, “Contract Award”.
Body
The project consists of landscape beautification of the median along Country Club Prado from SW 8th Street to Sevilla Avenue; it will enhance the adjacent neighborhoods by removing certain sick and damaged trees; installing new trees, including flowering trees, shrubs and vines; creating a new native plant area at the north end and general tree trimming throughout.
On June 11, 2015, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed the Country Club Prado Landscape Improvements IFB 2015.06.11. On June 18, 2015, a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting was held with two (2) prospective bidders in attendance of the ten (10) bidders who obtained the IFB package from the Procurement Division.
On July 9, 2015, six (6) bids were received in response to IFB 2015.06.11 from Arazoza Brothers Corp., SFM Services, Inc., Superior Landscaping & Lawn Service, Inc., ABC Construction, VisualScape, Inc. and Plant Professionals, Inc.
The lowest responsive and responsible bidder for this project was determined to be VisualScape, Inc., with a total bid of $335,667.40
The City’s project consultant, Geomantic Designs, Inc., and the Public Works Department concur with the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award Country Club Prado Landscape Improvements contract to VisualScape, Inc.
