A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to approve continuing contracts for an initial three (3) year period with options to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods with CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc., David Plummer & Associates, Inc., H.W. Lochner, Inc., Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., Kittelson & Associates, Inc., and WSP USA, Inc., for Multimodal Transportation Planning and Engineering Consulting Services, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act” and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2017.05.YG.

On September 26, 2017, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. 2017-261, authorizing negotiations with the following firms as a result of the RFQ process: CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc., David Plummer & Associates, Inc., H.W. Lochner, Inc., Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., Kittelson & Associates, Inc., and WSP USA, Inc.
The purpose of these continuing contracts is to provide the City with a pool of qualified firms who can provide insightful analysis, innovative designs, sound engineering, and effective project management and who possess the ability to provide not only, traffic engineering services, but services within the multimodal transportation realm, such as, but not limited to: multimodal level of service analysis; context sensitive design and sustainable solutions; designing of complete streets/road diet projects; design exceptions/variations/lane width reductions; innovative traffic calming alternatives in residential neighborhoods.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055 “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA), the professional services under these continuing contracts will be for projects in which the estimated construction cost of each individual project under the contract does not exceed $2 million, and for study activities if the fee for professional services for each individual study does not exceed $200,000.
