SUMMARY OF MEETING:

 

CALL TO ORDER:

The meeting was called to order by Chair Meagher at 8:44 am and attendance was stated for the record.

 

APPROVAL OF ABSENCES:

A motion was made by Ms. Lam and seconded by Ms. Reese to approve the absence of Ms. Ehrenhaft.

The motion was unanimously approved.

 

Opening Statement:

Chair Meagher read an excerpt from an interview with Richard Merrick.

 

Introduction and presentation by guests:

1.                     Trina Oropeza from IMAGO for the Arts.

2.                     Brett Gillis from Historic Preservation Association of Coral Gables.

 

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

A motion was made by Ms. Lam and seconded by Ms. Cason to approve the minutes of September 12, 2022, with corrections.

The motion was unanimously approved.

 

HOUSE REPORT:

1.                     September 2022 Monthly Activity Summary

2.                     House open on Labor Day

3.                     Uneventful Month

4.                     Visitors from around the world

5.                     Docents ready to give tours.

a.                     Number of visitors for tours: 45 (35 Adults; 3 Seniors; 7 Students 12+)

b.                     Sales: *1 Garden Book (funds go to the Villagers), 4 Poetry Books “Song of the Wind on a Southern Shore”, 1 poster and received $54 in tips.
