Violation Description - Maintenance Requirements Sec 34-203(a) - Sec. 34-203. - Maintenance requirements.(a)Properties subject to this article shall be kept free of weeds, overgrown brush, dead vegetation, trash, junk, debris, building materials, any accumulation of newspapers, circulars, flyers, notices, except those required by federal, state or local law, discarded personal items including, but not limited to, furniture, clothing, large and small appliances, printed material or any other items that give the appearance that the property is abandoned.(Code 2006, § 34-166; Ord. No. 2011-07, § 2(34-66), 6-7-2011; Ord. No. 2018-20, § 2, 6-12-2018).
Code Enforcement Officer Comments - Failure to maintain abandoned property. You are in violation Section 34-203 by allowing the following conditions, which are also violations of the following sections of the City Code:
1.Damaged driveway. The driveway of the house is cracked and damaged. This is a violation of § 34-203(h) of the City Code. (See also § 105-226 of the City Code.)
2.Trash, Debris, and Rubbish. There is trash and debris throughout the property consisting of used brick and pavers, a full and open black plastic garbage bag full of garbage, a roll of construction material, used roof insulation, plastic buckets, a blue plastic hose, plastic bottles, plastic bags, plastic lids, used cardboard boxes, paper, rotted wood on the pool cover. This is a violation of § 34-203(a)(c)(d)(e) and (h) of the City Code. (See also § 5-506 of the City Zoning Code)
3.Outdoor Storage. Outdoor storage of construction materials, bags of cement or other construction materials, plastic buckets of construction materials This is a violation of § 34-203(h) of the City Code. (See also § 5-506 of the City Zoning Code)
Remedy -
1.Damaged driveway. Apply for, obtain, and pass final inspection on all required Permits to repair the driveway.
2.Trash, Debris, and Rubbish. Remove all trash, debris, and rubbish.
3.Outdoor Storage. Remove all outdoor storage or place it in a permitted storage area that is enclosed on all sides with a solid or louvered masonry wall, not less than six feet in height, with necessary openings.
