A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to approve continuing contracts for an initial two (2) year period with an option to renew for one (1) additional two (2) year period with Savino & Miller Design Studio, Inc., Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc., Geomantic Designs, Inc., and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., for Landscape Architect Consulting Services, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act” and Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2016.05.MS.

On September 13, 2016, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. 2016-202, authorizing negotiations with the following firms as a result of the RFQ process: Savino & Miller Design Studio, Inc., Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc., Geomantic Designs, Inc., and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc. The purpose of these negotiations was to determine the compensation that will be paid under continuing contracts with the City.
The purpose of these continuing contracts is to provide the City with planting and maintenance schedules; manuals, or other documents that will assist the City with installation and maintenance of landscaping at selected sites; assist with master planning for various projects, including development projects; perform analysis and evaluation of existing landscape conditions at various sites and make recommendations for improvements, solutions, or modifications to existing conditions; coordinate with other professional disciplines; irrigation designs, streetscape/hardscape design, decorative lighting, park design, recreational facilities design, signage design, plant material identification, and cost estimating.
Pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055 “Consultants’ Competitive Negotiation Act” (CCNA), the professional services
under these continuing contracts will be for projects in which the estimated construction cost of each individual project under the contract does not exceed $2 million, and for study activities if the fee for professional services for
each individual study does not exceed $200,000.
The Procurement Division of Finance and the Public Works Department have completed their negotiations as to
compensation, terms, and conditions under continuing contracts with Savino & Miller Design Studio, Inc., Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc., Geomantic Designs, Inc., and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.
The Chief Procurement Officer in consultation with the Public Works Director recommends that continuing contracts with Savino & Miller Design Studio, Inc., Bermello Ajamil & Partners, Inc., Geomantic Designs, Inc., and Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc., be approved.
