A Resolution endorsing in part the recommendations of the Streetscape Design Committee of the Business Improvement District (BID) for the conceptual design of proposed Streetscape Improvements on Miracle Mile by supporting the conversion of on-street angle parking to parallel parking, widening of the existing sidewalks, and improvement to walkway connectors to nearby public parking.

Brief History
The Streetscape Design Committee established by the Business Improvement District (BID),
has completed its recommendations for the conceptual design of proposed streetscape improvements for
Miracle Mile. The Committee has made a broad range of recommendations which can be found on the
BID's website.
Several agencies, boards and recently commissioned studies have gone on record in support of the
Committee's recommendations regarding the conversion of angle parking to parallel parking,
widening of existing sidewalks and improvements to walkway connectors to nearby public parking.
Documentation of said support by agencies, boards and recent studies can be found in the attached
Exhibit A.
On January 30, 2009, notification letters were mailed to property owners and merchants with property
frontage on Miracle Mile and also to the membership of the BID informing all parties that the City
Commission would be considering certain streetscape improvements for Miracle Mile, including the
changing of on-street angle parking to parallel parking, widening of existing sidewalks and
improvements to walkway connectors to nearby public parking.
