The Amended and Restated Initial Assessment Resolution (Resolution No. 2016-149) was adopted on June 14, 2016, and the Amended and Restated Final Assessment Resolution (Resolution No. 2016-207) was adopted on September 13, 2016. The Master Service Assessment Ordinance (No. 2015-09) was adopted on May 26, 2015.
On May 19, 2026, the City adopted the Preliminary Assessment Resolution (Resolution No. 2026-143), which initiated the process for the annual imposition of the Solid Waste Service Assessments and established the following rates for solid waste collection and disposal services for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2026:
Regular Payment Single Family - $601.00 per Dwelling Unit
Regular Payment Auxiliary Units - $300.50 per Dwelling Unit
Residential property owners were allowed to prepay a discounted annual rate by August 15, 2026, and be removed from the assessment roll. All required notices have been provided to affected property owners in accordance with the Master Service Assessment Ordinance and the Preliminary Assessment Resolution.
Pursuant to the Master Service Assessment Ordinance, the final step for the imposition of the solid waste assessments is the adoption of an Annual Assessment Resolution. The Annual Assessment Resolution for Solid Waste confirms the Solid Waste Cost, the method of apportionment, and the above rate of assessments proposed in the Preliminary Assessment Resolution. It also adopts the final Solid Waste Assessment Roll and directs that the roll be certified to the Tax Collector for collection no later than September 15.
