(FGSS), and MC Harry & Associates, Inc., pursuant to Section 2-829 of the Procurement Code entitled, “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications,” until June 30, 2016, or until such time as the negotiations are complete and new contracts are executed, pursuant to the current RFQ process.
Body
On December 07, 2011, the City Commission approved continuing contracts for architectural consulting services as the result of a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process.
The purpose of the continuing contracts are to provide basic architectural & engineering design services including structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing fire protection & landscaping design. Project assigned under these continuing contracts will not exceed $2,000,000 nor will a study exceed $200,000, pursuant to Florida Statute 287.055, known as the “Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act.” The current contracts expired December 7, 2015.
Upon Procurement receiving the scope of services from Public Works, Procurement solicited a new RFQ that is in the final stages of the negotiation process, and will be executing a new contract within the extension timeframe.
In order to allow time to finalize the negotiations of the Professional Service Agreements, and for new contracts to be completed, approved, and executed, and to process extensions of the existing continuing contracts, it is recommended that the Architectural Consulting contracts be extended until June 30, 2016, until such time as the negotiations are complete and new contracts are executed pursuant to the current RFQ process.
Under Section 2-829 of the Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications,” the current contracts with Stantec Consulting, Inc., AECOM Technical Services, Inc, FGSS, Inc. and MC Harry & Associates, Inc. may be extended by the City Commission.
