I am pleased to nominate Cesar Hechavarria for Employee of the Month in recognition of his exceptional dedication, professionalism, and contributions to the City of Coral Gables.
Cesar has worked for the City for seven years, including the past five years serving as the City’s Recruitment Manager. In this role, he oversees and facilitates the recruitment, selection, hiring, and promotion of employees across all City departments. Through his commitment to these responsibilities, Cesar has played a vital role in the successful hiring of hundreds of employees and, together with his team, has sustained a vacancy rate of less than 5% of the City’s budgeted positions.
Cesar has consistently demonstrated initiative in enhancing recruitment efforts, streamlining the hiring process, and maintaining low vacancy rates. His work ensures that City departments have the personnel necessary to fulfill their responsibilities and advance the City’s objectives and mission. His contributions have a direct and lasting impact on the effectiveness of City operations and the quality of services provided to our community.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Cesar is a true professional, a valued team member, a supportive leader, and a role model to others. He exemplifies the spirit of public service through his dedication, dependability, and willingness to work behind the scenes in support of the entire organization and the community we serve.
