A Resolution of the City Commission approving the cost difference of site work and construction for the installation of three sculptures: Julio Larraz's “Mars”, Agustin Cardenas’ “Le Couple” and “Untitled”; authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 amended budget to transfer AIPP Funds in the amount of $90,000 from the Miracle Mile Streetscape project to be used toward the cost of installation for the sculptures.

The City Commission passed Resolutions 2022-83, 2025-419, and 2026-141 approving public art acquisitions from artists Julio Larraz and Agustin Cardenas.
The cost of construction has significantly increased and additional funds in an estimated amount of $90,000 are needed.
There is available AIPP funding previously appropriated to the Miracle Mile Streetscape project; and staff recommends transferring $90,000 of AIPP funding from the Miracle Mile capital project to be used for the installation cost of the Julio Larraz’ “Mars”, Agustin Cardenas’ “Le Couple” and “Untitled” sculptures.
