...Title
A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the IFB contract for the H. George Fink Studio Restoration Project to Critical Path Services Inc., pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2020-024 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.
...Body
The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to contract with a qualified and experienced bidder to provide restoration to the historic exterior and interior spaces of the H. George Fink Office and Studio building as well as various tenant improvements.
On July 7, 2020, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the IFB 2020-024 H. George Fink Studio Restoration Project.
On July 17, 2020 a non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held with thirteen (13) prospective bidders, seven (7) firms attended the site visit and forty-six (46) prospective bidders downloaded the IFB package from Public Purchase, the City’s web-based e-Procurement service.
On August 19, 2020, a total of four (4) responses to the IFB were received by the following bidders: Carivon Construction Company, Critical Path Services Inc., Florida Construction & Engineering Inc., and Red Door Construction, LLC.
The responses were reviewed by the Procurement Division in order to determine responsiveness to the requirements of the IFB and to identify the lowest responsive responsible bidder. The procurement Division finalized it’s due diligence process and confirmed that Critical Path Services Inc., is both responsive to the requirements of the IFB and responsible bidder.
The Public Works Department concurs with the Chief Procurement Officer’s recommendation to award the H. George Fink Studio Restoration Project to Critical Path Services Inc., in the amount of $1,678,096.14 plus a contingency amount of $195,498.20 for a total of $1,873,594.34.
