LOCAL HISTORIC DESIGNATION:
CASE FILE LHD 2018-008 AND COA (SP) 2018-019: Consideration of the local historic designation of the property at 1236 Asturia Avenue, legally described as Lot 7, Block 6, Coral Gables Section “E,” according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 8, at Page 13 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The applicant is also requesting the issuance of an Accelerated Special Certificate of Appropriateness and design approval for additions and alterations to the auxiliary structure.
A motion was made and seconded to approve the local historic designation for the property at 1236 Asturia Avenue. (Ayes:9; Nays: 0)

ITEMS FROM THE SECRETARY:
Holiday Events: Ms. Spain informed the Board of the following holiday events the Department was hosting: November 28th, Giralda Plaza dedication of art. November 30th, Midsummer Night’s Dream art dedication in the Plaza and December 9th, Merrick House Holiday Opening.
Art Basel: Ms. Spain advised the Board to be on the lookout for Hank Willis Thomas speech bubbles along Miracle Mile, along with four benches throughout the City as part of his art installation titled, “The truth is I Welcome You.”
