A Resolution authorizing the ratification of a change order to the “Construction Manager at Risk for the Miracle Mile and Giralda Avenue Streetscape Project” contract RFQ 2015.12.05 with Ric-Man International, Inc., pursuant to Section 2-764(b), Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications, in the amount of $284,274 to perform improvements to Lot 25 Plaza and allow for the installation of marble sculptures.

On January 26, 2016, Resolution No. 2016-33 was approved and a contract for the construction of the Miracle Mile and Giralda Avenue Streetscape Project with Ric-Man International Inc. (Ric-Man) was executed.
On April 4, 2016, a Notice to Proceed was issued to Ric-Man for the project and on February 23, 2018, the Streetscape Project was successfully completed.
Specifically, it was determined that Lot 25 Park Plaza should include the same design theme and paving pattern used on Giralda. It was anticipated that the additional work would transform the location into a beautiful and inviting public park space while serving as a City parking lot.
The work involved the reconstruction of the current plaza and incorporate Public Art by way of three marble sculptures. A fourth sculpture will also be part of the changes and will be installed at the east end of Giralda near Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
